Alex graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2020 with a degree in Finance. During his time at Slippery Rock, he developed a strong interest in auditing and was recognized as a runner-up in the Western Pennsylvania Audit Case Competition. He also served as Vice President of both the Investment Club and Finance Club.
Alex began his career with Barber Financial as an intern from 2019 to 2020. After graduation, he spent six months hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine and embraced opportunities to travel extensively throughout the United States and abroad, including Honduras, Colombia, and Mexico. Along the way, he managed sugar beet harvest operations in Michigan and worked at various music festivals.
Alex returned to Barber Financial as a Paraplanner, where he has continued to advance his professional expertise. He earned his securities licenses in 2023, obtained his insurance license in 2024, and achieved the prestigious Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation in 2025.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys archery, fly fishing, traveling, rock climbing, and testing his knowledge at trivia competitions.
