Alex is a graduate of Slippery Rock, class of 2020. While in school Alex had a passion for auditing and was a runner-up at the Western Pennsylvania Audit Case Competition. At Slippery Rock he was the Vice President of the Investment Club and Finance Clubs. He went on to intern and work with Barber Financial from 2019-2020. Alex took time to travel and hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine over 6 months. He then worked managing the sugar beet harvest in Michigan and various music festivals. He has traveled through numerous states and countries including Honduras, Colombia, and Mexico.
Alex returned to Barber Financial to fulfill the role of Paraplanner. In 2023, Alex obtained his securities licenses and in 2024 obtained his Insurance License. He enjoys stock analysis, working with clients, and learning new products.
